Laserline GmbH, based in Mülheim-Kärlich near Koblenz, was founded in 1997 and is a world leader in the development and manufacture of efficient, modular diode laser systems at blue and infrared wavelengths. Laserline high-power diode lasers achieve output powers of up to 60 kW and a wall-plug efficiency (WPE) of over 56%. Based on decades of experience, Laserline develops customized laser solutions for industrial applications – including high-quality beam-shaping optics for the realization of variable spot geometries – and has established itself internationally as a reliable partner. More than 8,000 high-power diode lasers from Laserline are currently in use around the world, demonstrating their performance in a wide variety of processes and applications. The laser technology specialist currently employs around 400 people and has international subsidiaries in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, China, South Korea and India as well as representatives in Europe (France, Great Britain, Italy) and in the Asia-Pacific region (Australia, Taiwan, Singapore).

Laserline, an internationally leading developer and manufacturer of diode lasers, produces laser systems for industrial material processing. Laserline presents the world’s first blue diode laser with 6 kW CW output power. It was especially designed for welding, cladding and additive manufacturing of copper components. With 6 kW, it is the world’s leading blue diode laser in its class, setting a new benchmark for this technology. This represents another milestone in the advancement of blue high-power diode lasers.

With the compact LDM laser systems, Laserline showcases a product generation that offers 50 percent more laser power in a 7 RU - 19" rack mount system. Up to 10 kW laser power in less than 100 liters installation space sets a standard for high power lasers and opens up more possibilities for system integration. The LDF series Laserline sets the benchmark for high power diode lasers, providing 25 kW of laser power in less than one square meter footprint. Now, even high beam qualities are available: 8 kW out of a 600 µm fiber at NA 0.1 in a compact and mobile system configuration.

LDF Series: The Benchmark for High Power Diode Lasers

Laserline is the international leading manufacturer of diode lasers for industrial materials processing and sets a new benchmark for high power diode lasers: The modular LDF VG6 series is versatile in use, offers 45 kW laser power in less than one square meter footprint and an electrical efficiency of over 50 percent – even at high beam qualities. Whether power, internal or external cooling system or system interfaces: The LDF series can be individually configured to changing requirements.

LDM Series: The Compact Class for Diode Lasers

The Laserline LDM series includes highly compact beam sources as 19" rack mount modules. This technology offers simplified laser integration in machines or systems. It combines the diode stacks, a fiber-coupling unit, the power supply and integrated cooling as well as control electronics to monitor and control the laser.

With the latest VG7 version, the LDM now delivers enhanced beam quality and laser power of up to 10 kW, once again setting the standard for compact, high-power diode lasers.

Blue Diode Lasers: A New Dimension in Material Processing

The blue diode laser revolutionizes the processing of copper, gold and its alloys in various ways. The generation of up to 6 kW (cw) laser power in the 445 nm wavelength range is unique for industrial lasers. With this output, Laserline offers the world’s leading blue diode laser, setting a benchmark in this segment. This wavelength is ideal for the processing of highly reflective materials since its higher absorption allows significantly lower intensities and larger laser spots.

Optics with Multi-Spot Module

For flexible adaptation to different joining processes, Laserline will present multi-spot optics that enable both beam splitting and individual modulation of spot geometry and intensity. This makes them ideal for demanding welding tasks such as the spatter-free realization of symmetrical and asymmetrical seams with an adapted penetration profile. Laserline will also be presenting special optics for hot wire aluminum welding. This process offers significantly higher process stability compared to conventional methods, reduces heat input into the base material, and enables excellent seam quality at high process speeds.
