SITEMA Safety Brakes are designed to brake and securely hold loads on vertical or inclined linear axes. They are primarily used in automation, handling systems and special machinery where personnel and machine components must be protected against uncontrolled movement.

KSP – Pneumatic Safety Brake

The KSP is pneumatically released and mechanically clamps the rod when the release pressure is removed. Its proven mechanical operating principle provides reliable protection for small and medium-sized loads.

KSE – Fully Electric Safety Brake

The KSE enables the integration of a mechanical Safety Brake into machines with a fully electric system architecture. Its mechanical design is based on the proven KSP series, while the brake is electrically released and controlled through the SiBox.

The KSE is particularly suitable where an additional pneumatic supply would otherwise be required solely for the Safety Brake. Depending on the complete safety architecture and application design, the KSE can be used in safety functions up to Performance Level e according to ISO 13849-1.
