SITEMA Locking Units provide precise and stepless locking of rods and linear axes in both load directions. They are used when a defined position must be maintained reliably, even under load.

Unlike purely hydraulic positioning, the rod is held mechanically after the required position has been reached. No continuous hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is required to maintain the clamped position. This reduces the risk of unwanted movement caused by internal or external leakage, pressure variations or temperature changes.
