SITEMA Safety Catchers protect personnel and machinery against the unintended lowering or falling of lifted loads. They provide an independent mechanical safety level and secure the load directly on a round rod.

Safety Catchers are used for medium, large and very large loads. They clamp steplessly at any position along the rod and continue to hold the load without requiring a continuous energy supply. Hydraulic and pneumatic versions are available for compressive and tensile load directions.

Safety Catcher series are DGUV-tested for use as mechanical restraint devices in presses, including applications according to ISO 16092. The independent mechanical securing function remains effective even if the hydraulic system or power supply fails.
